BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Katherine is in her second year at The University of Arizona pursuing a Master’s Degree in atmospheric sciences (expected May 2009). Originally from Oregon, she received a Bachelor’s degree in physics from the University of Oregon in 2005. Currently her research involves modeling the accuracy of the ATOMMS satellite's ozone measurements under the advisement of Dr. E. Robert Kursinski. She also holds a research assistantship at the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the UA. Her work includes writing and making climate maps for the Border Climate Summery, a bi-national climate outreach publication. Her other research interests include interdisciplinary approaches to climate change, including atmosphere-surface interaction, remote sensing, paleoclimatology, and climate impacts on society.
