Craig brings more than a decade of experience as a writer, editor, journalist and marketing professional to the communications arm of the Udall Center, where he has served as the Center's first Communications and Marketing Lead since September 2022. He has published hundreds of articles and photographs with local and national publications throughout his career, penning features for The Desert Leaf, The Atlantic, Mental Floss, and many more.

In addition to his numerous publication credits, Craig has worked to elevate the profiles of numerous local businesses and organizations such as Barrio Brewing Co., the Arizona Trail Association and others by employing his knowledge of SEO, videography and digital marketing to attract, engage, and delight viewers and readers across the demographic spectrum.

Craig earned a BA in Creative Non-Fiction Writing with a minor in Wildlife Management from the University of Arizona, where he graduated with Honors in 2007.

As a science-writing specialist, Craig enjoys the challenge of distilling complex topics into content that is digestible, entertaining and a pleasure to read.

When he's not helping the Udall Center spread the word about their numerous ongoing research and community engagement projects, Craig enjoys writing short stories and personal essays, hiking, camping, rock climbing and relaxing at home with his partner and their dog, a terrier mix named Archimedes.
