Udall Center Leadership Changes

Stephen Cornell, Udall Center director for the past 17 years, has retired from that position. Robert Varady, previously deputy director, is now interim director. He is also a research professor of environmental policy and director off the center's environmental policy programs. Cornell, a professor of sociology, will continue at the center as a faculty associate with the Native Nations Institute.

The UA senior vice president for research, Kimberly Espy, will select a new director based on the outcome of a search, which is underway.
