Maria Carmen Lemos is Professor at the School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS) and co-Director of the Great Lakes Sciences and Assessments Center (GLISA) at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her research focuses on the use of scientific knowledge in environmental public policymaking in Latin America and the U.S., especially related to climate change (adaptation and adaptive capacity building) and the co-creation of actionable knowledge to solve sustainability problems. She has MSc. and PhD degrees in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MIT.
