Avery is a Journalism major and a Public Relations minor at the University of Arizona. She is expected to graduate in May of 2028 with a BA from the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and enjoys spending time with her family back home and in Colorado. When not at work or school, Avery loves to travel. In fact, she has been to five of the seven continents! She appreciates learning about other cultures and lifestyles – and, of course, meeting new people and trying different foods!

Avery enjoys public speaking, writing, and being on camera, so broadcast journalism was the perfect fit for her future career. Her curiosity led her to pursue the journalism degree with the help of the UA’s student-run broadcast station, UATV3. Avery is the Lead Reporter for the 2025-26 school year, anchoring, creating packages and reporting for news, sports, and entertainment shows each week. She is also a member of Chi Omega, Zeta Beta Chapter, a sorority on the U of A campus.

When she is not on campus, Avery likes to explore Tucson with her friends, hike, try out new coffee shops, and volunteer at the local pet shelter, Pima Animal Care Center.
